The latest concept art from Panzer Dragoon: Remake's Twitter goes beyond the game first episode and shows a familiar looking environment!

The 5th entry in “The Art of Panzer Dragoon: Remake”, a series of concept art and 3D model reveals by the Panzer Dragoon: Remake team, is labeled as “environment design” and is almost certainly concept art for the game’s Episode 3. It’s during this episode that Kyle and his dragon attempt to pass through an Imperial excavation site at night. The concept art appears to show this site, with (what looks like) worker housing located inside of a canyon. It’s perhaps more reminiscent of the excavation site seen in Panzer Dragoon Saga as well as Panzer Dragoon Orta’s Yelico Valley rather than that of the original game, which makes sense considering that those were considerably more detailed.

While not immediately noticeable on the concept art, all of the Empire’s excavation sites were guarded by a detachment from the Imperial army. Much of the technology from the Ancients was still a mystery to the Empire and they weren’t able to replicate it, so these excavations were crucial to the Empire to retrieve parts for their battleships and other vehicles. Unfortunately for them, the forces stationed in this particular excavation site weren’t prepared to face a dragon, the ultimate weapon of the Ancient Age.
