An organism found in areas of moving water, from seas to rivers, they catch and eat water-borne microorganisms. However, they do not have the necessary organs to breath underwater, so they can be seen jumping into the air from time to time to take a breath before plunging back in.

They are sometimes hunted for their wings, which are made up of fine bones and a thin film-like flesh that has beautiful natural patterns.
