Genes

Official text extracted from Panzer Dragoon Orta.

Information containing the designs for organic weaponry and constructs of the Ancient Age. This genetic information is contained within “cells,” the smallest units that make up matter. All flora and fauna, including humans, have abilities and appearances that are determined by these genes.

Children resemble their parents because they contain genetic material passed down through the generations. Different species obviously have different genes, but even members of the same species have slightly different genetic information.

Some hypothesize that conflict within the same species, or conflict between closely related species, is the result of the innate desire to pass on, and ensure the survival of, the genetic material closest to one’s own.
